Parents Association

The OLCS Parents Association would like to take this opportunity to thank families and friends of everyone who has supported our events during the past year.  We can assure you that all money raised goes back into the school and here is where the money over the last year has gone :

£621.00 for the first year of ParentMail
£9,000 towards the refurbishment of the Main Hall toilets
£231.00 for paint to re-paint the Main Hall
£445.00 for new staging for the Main Hall
£1,214.00 for Promethean Boards for Junior Classrooms
£1,700.00 for a Go Karting Trailer
£156.00 for Bibles for current Year 6 students moving to Year 7

We are also currently arranging with Mr Henry to pay for new black wool fire retardant stage curtains.

As you can see, there are a lot of exceptionally useful items which the school would not have had without the PA funds.  Again many thanks for your continued support.

The Parents’ Association Fashion Show was another huge hit this year. Pupils of all ages took part, together with several members of OLCS staff as well as some boys from Loughborough Grammar School.   The students modelled clothing from local stores. The stores who took part were; Tesco,VR, Pink, New Look, Irish, Red, Jolie Fille Wish and Mary Mary and Lanza Hairdressing.

As the photos show, everyone got into the spirit and enjoyed the opportunity to show off the new styles and their catwalk skills.

The charity show raised money for Rainbows and Leicester Brain Injury Unit.  A donation was also made towards the OLCS Lourdes volunteers’ cost.  The girls travel with the Nottingham Diocese Pilgrimage to provide care and mobility assistance for the pilgrims.

Thank you to everyone who took part – especially all the local businesses who donated clothing!

PA May Fayre

May Fayre

The OLCS Parents’ Association managed to catch the warmest weekend of the year for their May Fayre this weekend! Plenty of parents and friends of OLCS enjoyed a wonderful day of fun and shopping. Face painting and bouncy castles were on hand to keep the children entertained along with a variety of stalls including jewellery, clothing and home wares. This Open Day we also opened up a Crèche and pampering room for Mums who needed a break, or an opportunity to take a look around the school.
